So many people live for the weekend when you have 5 days in the week. Life can be tiring, work can be stressful, and goddam those delicious office snacks that taste so good, but they do not help you be a more productive person! A happy person outside of work is a more productive, motivated, and dedicated employee. Here are my top tips to help you to be the best you can be (they do really work). They are all interlinked in help you reach your goals and full potential.
Nutrition – It’s so important that you nourish your body when you have a busy life so get those Supergreens in! Did you know they have anti-aging properties, clean the blood, add oxygen helping you to be able to breathe better when doing exercise? The benefits are endless.
Personal presentation – Ever had one of those days when you look in the mirror and nothing looks good? Well change this, make an effort to have that “go-to” outfit when you are feeling a bit down that will wow everyone and make you feel amazing so when you have to attend that scary meeting you know you are looking slick!
Get active! – Getting your body moving is so important especially if you are sat at your desk all day. Exercise, positivity, motivation, and focus are all related. If joining a gym isn’t your thing go to a dance class something fun that you will look forward to and have fun!
Laugh more – Have you ever gone through a day or a week and realised I didn’t laugh today? Laughing has amazing benefits to the human body including good heart health, reduces stress, Boosts T – cells and you release endorphins.
Set achievable goals – Goal setting is so important in life to keep you focused, motivated and gives you a great reason to jump out of bed. Whether it is at work to get a promotion, maybe to save for a house deposit or a rainy day fund? So set goals you can achieve, this will also fire you up to work harder to achieve them.
Get out of bed early – By getting out of bed early you have a huge advantage on everyone who is still in bed. Why not take a moment to think about what you want to achieve for that day. Rushing around and being late for the day ahead means you are on the backfoot and most likely will have a negative domino effect on the rest of your day. So get up early, and get that gym session or yoga session in which will help you focus all day, get to the office early to prepare for the day ahead, and be the most productive you can be.
Have hobbies outside of work– Life is for living right? Not just work, eat, sleep repeat! Do things in your spare time that make you feel good, where you lose yourself for a few hours. Making your life as full and fun-filled as you can is so important because whilst being at work is an important part of life you have to make time to relax, unwind and enjoy yourself. Why not take up a new hobby that you love maybe support a sports team you feel passionate about or get into Yoga and Well Being or maybe take up a combat sport?
Read, read, read – Keep that gray matter working read and learn every day taking time to learn that will enhance your life. Get off Social Media, pick up that book you have been meaning to read.
Connect with your friends and loved ones – Make time for those who love and care for you. Time can pass you by if you’re busy so make an effort to make the time it’s important!
Do a job you enjoy – Don’t be miserable at work, life is too short so think about what type of job you would like to do. If you would like a chat about new job opportunities then get in touch maybe I can help you be happier!
